Two separate settings control how the finished images look, and they do different jobs. Image Quality is a compression slider — lower values shrink the file size at the cost of some sharpness, while higher values keep more detail at a larger file size. Image Scale, measured in DPI, controls the actual pixel dimensions of the output: a higher DPI produces a larger, more detailed image, which matters if the JPGs are headed for print rather than just an email attachment or a quick screen preview.

HD (144 DPI) is a solid middle ground for most everyday use — sharp enough to read comfortably on screen without producing an unnecessarily large file. Print-quality work benefits from pushing the DPI higher, since printed output needs more pixel density than a screen does to look sharp up close.

Not every conversion needs every page. The page range option lets you convert just a section of a longer document — pages 5 through 10 of a report, for instance — instead of generating an image for every single page when only a few are actually needed. Leaving “All pages” checked converts the entire document, and “Download as ZIP” packages the results into a single file when there’s more than one image, rather than triggering a separate download for each page.
