Two checkboxes decide the actual shape of the finished document, and they’re easy to overlook. “One image per page” is checked by default, which gives each photo its own page — unchecking it instead combines every image onto a single page, which works well for a handful of small images like receipts or a photo collage, but gets cramped quickly with more than a few. “Fit image to page size” stretches or scales each photo to fill the chosen page dimensions, which keeps every page a consistent size, though it can distort an image whose proportions don’t match the page — leaving it unchecked keeps each photo at its natural aspect ratio instead.

Page size and orientation work together the same way they would in any document: A4 or Letter for standard printing, Legal for extra length, and Portrait or Landscape depending on whether your source images are taller than they are wide or the reverse.
